OUR SERVICES
Practical support for homes and families during major life transitions
When a major life transition affects a home, knowing what needs to happen—and in what order—can feel overwhelming.
Goodbye With Love provides calm, considered and practical support for families preparing a home for sale following bereavement, a deceased estate, downsizing, an aged-care move, separation or another significant change.
Every situation begins with listening. From there, I help create a clear way forward for both the people involved and the home itself.
SUPPORT SHAPED AROUND YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES
The right support depends on what is happening
No two families, homes or transitions are the same.
Some families need help understanding where to begin. Others need someone local who can assess the home, arrange practical work, communicate with the people involved and help keep important tasks moving.
The home may need to be cleared, repaired, refreshed or presented for sale. There may also be belongings carrying decades of memories, family members living interstate or overseas, difficult decisions to make or an older person whose dignity and voice must remain central to the process.
Goodbye With Love brings these practical and human considerations together in one thoughtful approach.
DECEASED ESTATES
Deceased estate home preparation
After a death, families and executors can be left responsible for a home at a time when their emotional and practical capacity is already stretched.
Goodbye With Love provides respectful assistance with the practical responsibilities surrounding a deceased-estate home. This may include assessing what needs to happen, helping families approach belongings thoughtfully, arranging clearing and cleaning, identifying repairs or presentation work and helping prepare the home for sale.
The aim is to help the family move forward without treating the home—or the people connected to it—as simply part of a transaction.
DOWNSIZING AND AGED CARE
Support for downsizing and aged-care moves
Leaving a long-held home can involve far more than moving furniture. It may represent a change in independence, identity, routine and connection to a place filled with memories.
I help older people and their families work through the practical steps involved in downsizing or moving into aged care. Support may include planning, sorting priorities, arranging services, preparing the home for sale and helping family members understand what needs to happen next.
Wherever possible, the older person's voice, choices and dignity remain central to the process.
SEPARATION AND DIVORCE
Preparing a shared home for sale following separation
When a home needs to be sold following separation or divorce, practical property decisions can become intertwined with an already difficult period of change.
Goodbye With Love can help bring structure and calm to the preparation of the home once the parties have agreed on the required pathway.
Support may include assessing the home, developing an agreed preparation plan and arranging decluttering, repairs, cosmetic improvements and presentation work before sale.
The scope of work, communication arrangements and approval process are established before work begins. If decisions are disputed, work pauses until clear agreement or appropriate professional direction has been received.
Goodbye With Love does not provide legal advice, mediation, property valuations or financial advice and works alongside the appropriately qualified professionals involved.
HOME PREPARATION
Preparing the home to be seen at its best
A home does not always need a major renovation before it is sold. Often, the greatest difference comes from identifying the right priorities and completing them well.
I help families assess the home through a practical and considered lens—looking at its condition, presentation, likely buyers, available budget, timeframe and the family's circumstances.
Support may include cleaning, clearing, gardening, minor repairs, painting, cosmetic improvements, styling preparation and helping bring the home together for photography and sale.
Every recommendation should have a clear purpose. Money should not be spent simply because it is available.
REPAIRS AND IMPROVEMENTS
Considered repairs, renovation and cosmetic improvements
Where repairs or improvements may strengthen the home's presentation or sale readiness, I help identify what is worth considering and what may be unnecessary.
This can include developing priorities, obtaining appropriate professional input, arranging suitable trades and services and helping the agreed work move forward.
The goal is not to renovate for the sake of renovating. It is to make sensible, proportionate decisions based on the home, the market, the money, the timeframe and the desired outcome.
All regulated or licensed work is carried out by appropriately qualified professionals.
BELONGINGS AND LEGACY
Protecting what carries meaning
A home may contain photographs, letters, furniture, collections, recipes, keepsakes and ordinary belongings carrying extraordinary meaning to the family.
Goodbye With Love creates space to identify what matters before everything else is moved, donated, sold or discarded.
This does not mean everything must be kept or that practical decisions should be avoided. It means that belongings and family history are approached with thought, dignity and respect while the necessary work continues.
Preparing a house for sale should never mean forgetting what made it a home.
DISTANCE SUPPORT
A trusted local presence for interstate and overseas families
Managing a home from interstate or overseas can be difficult, particularly when family members are also balancing grief, work, children, caring responsibilities or travel.
Goodbye With Love can provide a trusted local point of contact across Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula.
I help families understand what is happening at the home, identify priorities, arrange agreed services, communicate clearly and help ensure important practical tasks do not fall through the gaps.
Families remain informed and involved without needing to be physically present for every appointment or decision.
A CONSIDERED APPROACH
Not every home needs the same solution
There is no standard package that suits every family or every home.
Some people may need an initial consultation and a clear plan they can carry forward themselves. Others may need more comprehensive support bringing together the different practical steps involved in preparing the home for sale.
Nothing proceeds without a clearly agreed scope of support.
Recommendations are shaped around:
- The people involved
- The condition of the home
- The family's priorities
- The available budget
- The likely market
- The required timeframe
- Existing professional advice
- The desired outcome
HOW THE PROCESS WORKS
A clear way forward
01
We begin with a conversation
I take the time to understand what is happening, who is involved, what is creating pressure and what outcome the family is working towards.
02
I assess the home and identify priorities
Where appropriate, I visit the home and consider its condition, presentation, practical requirements, family circumstances, timeframe and possible pathways.
03
A tailored plan is developed
You receive a clear proposal outlining the recommended support, responsibilities, anticipated costs and next steps. Nothing proceeds without your agreement.
04
I help bring the agreed work together
Once the plan is approved, I help move the practical work forward while keeping the family informed, connected and supported.
FEES AND SCOPE
Support matched to what you actually need
Fees depend on the circumstances, the condition of the home and the level of support required.
Following the initial conversation and any necessary home assessment, I provide a clear proposal outlining the recommended scope of support and associated fees.
External services—including cleaners, removalists, tradespeople, gardeners, stylists and other professionals—are quoted or approved separately before being engaged.
You do not need to engage Goodbye With Love for every stage. Support can be tailored around the areas in which it will provide the greatest practical value.
LOCAL SUPPORT
Serving Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula
Goodbye With Love supports families across Frankston, Frankston South, Mount Eliza, Mornington, Mount Martha, Hastings and surrounding areas of Victoria.
Support may also be available outside these areas depending on the circumstances and scope required.
WORKING ALONGSIDE YOUR PROFESSIONAL TEAM
Support that complements—not replaces—professional advice
Goodbye With Love does not replace solicitors, accountants, financial advisers, real estate agents, valuers, mediators, builders or other regulated professionals.
I work collaboratively alongside the appropriately qualified professionals involved in each family's circumstances while helping the practical preparation of the home move forward.
LET'S BEGIN
You do not need to have everything figured out
Every family, home and transition is different.
The first step is simply a conversation about what is happening, what feels difficult and what would make the situation more manageable.
